NordBau 2017: Focus on Digitization and Green to the City Show how Construction and Municipalities can Benefit
Neumünster. The digitization of construction, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and the creation of more green in the urban area are the main topics of this year's NordBau (13th to 17th September 2017, Holstenhallen Neumünster). The programme includes a wide range of lectures and trainings courses and the presentation of all novelties with regards to the construction machines. The fair expects more than 60,000 visitors.
Using the "Green in the City"! theme, the Nordbau 2017 picks up an important trend in the inner-city construction. Climate trees, the desealing of inner city areas to deal with severe heavy rainfalls, or the design of inner courtyards to improve the housing value and the appreciation of the property are only a few aspects of the great special show. The gardening in the city is brought alive at the fair by the example of a Kiel courtyard. Partners and designers of this attractive special show are the associations Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau (gardening, landscaping and sports ground construction) of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, Haus & Grund Schleswig-Holstein, the Association of Northern German housing companies, the Schleswig-Holstein Gemeindetag as well as the Bund Deutscher Landschaftsarchitekten Schleswig-Holstein (Confederation of German Landscape architects).
"Because a green city is a healthy city, the planning and development of such areas have long been the focus of housing associations. However, the green does not grow and maintain itself: design and maintenance are expensive, and not everything is technically feasible. Ecologically and economically sensible solutions must be found here," explains Andreas Breitner, director of the Verband norddeutscher Wohnungsunternehmen (Association of North German housing companies) . Alexander Blažek, managing director of the Haus & Grund Schleswig-Holstein, adds: ' Urban gardening ' or ' Green to the city ' shows the current trend of combining the city's advantages with an individual green oasis. In this year's show, Haus & Grund offers qualified legal and professional advice on how to become an urban gardener in order to make the property more attractive to itself or the tenant. "
Another main topic at the NordBau 2017 is digitization. The economic advantages of digitization and the 3-D based Building Information Modeling (BIM) are shown in many places at the fair "to touch": Possibilities of time and cost savings, important labour law aspects, the digital trends in construction machinery and effective workflows are in the focus. Through specific construction projects, architects and engineers can find out how construction processes work are significantly shortened by digital planning and additional costs are eliminated through rescheduling. Digitized processes optimize the management of buildings in facility management.
"As far as digitization and urban greening is concerned, it is important for us to make the topics tangible, to offer more value and to be the platform for the exchange of the industry", adds Dirk Iwersen, managing director of Holstenhallen Neumünster GmbH.
